Walled Garden 

With its sculptural terraced lawns & central fountains, our Walled Garden captivates our couples & their guests with its natural beauty. It is the perfect spot for your wedding ceremony and arrival drinks. One of our favourite things about it is the big reveal - you can’t really see it until you walk through those beautiful wrought iron gates. We love seeing the faces of the guests as they discover it for the first time!

Wedding Ceremonies take place inside the romantic Himalayan Hut on the top level. Made from Kentish hop poles & covered in climbing roses and vines, depending on the month. It has views over the Weald of Kent and is the most perfect, intimate spot to say your vows to each other with your friends and family gathered around you. We are licenced for 120 people for ceremonies. We provide seating and also provide a beautiful, wet weather alternative ceremony space, we find it takes the pressure off.

The Walled Garden will be for the exclusive use of you and your guests. We take down the ropes so you can enjoy wandering the grass terraces with your bubbly and canapes after the ceremony or when you arrive for your welcome drinks. And, being Walled, it is a brilliant party space, everyone is contained in one area but with plenty of space to relax.

The Walled Garden is also home to our gorgeous Potager, so the top level is full of flowers, vegetables, sweetpeas and sunflowers (obviously depending on the month!). We also have breathtaking allium and peony borders in June. The Walled Garden is a true natural beauty and you don’t really need to add anything except guests!

We offer you our Walled Garden for ceremonies from 2:30 or for reception only welcome drinks from 3:00 . It is also a fab location for those group shots. You can then process down, along the Rose Walk, to your marquee for dinner whenever you are ready. This gives your guests a chance to enjoy more of our gardens.
